Union Industries

The Best of British

We had two bulldoors fitted almost 10 years ago and have had no significant problems. Indeed the only problems we have encountered have been caused by our own personnel colliding with the doors with either trolleys or fork lift trucks, sometimes a sensor gets knocked or something gets bent.

The electronic package is adaptable and programmable which has enabled us to adapt the door operation to suit our needs including putting a timed alarm to remind personnel to close the doors.

Whenever we have needed support or advice Union Industries have been extremely helpful and their engineers have an excellent knowledge which gives great confidence when they service our doors.

Overall even though these are not the cheapest doors on the market the value for money is, in my opinion, exceptional.

First of all, can I say how pleased I am with all three doors built and fitted by Union Industries your engineers are a credit to your company they carried out the fitting in a very safe and competent manner with total regard to our safety procedures at all times.

As I said earlier my reason for choosing Union Industries was the quality of the product it looked exceptional in all the videos I had seen and looking at the product in our factory I can see I have made the correct choice, the build quality of these doors is by any engineers standards very impressive.

Several other things also helped the main one being the parts made on site, meaning I will not wait for spares as they will be accessible for immediate delivery also the helpline that Union offers to engineers in resolving problems not needing an engineer to be called out.

Everyone from start to finish were helpful and very informative, especially you Rob, Alan, and Diane.

Thank you for contacting me recently to see if we have any further requirements.

In 2004 we pondered for some time over the purchase of a Bulldoor from Union Industries because they were probably one of the highest priced doors on the market.  It was clear though that they were well designed and built and the electronic control system was so robust that we eventually signed up and had our first door installed.
After 6 years of faultless operation we installed our second door.

Both doors are still working perfectly today, some 14 years on and this is after we had one of the doors moved to another site in 2016.

We are a busy manufacturing site that could not operate with unreliable entry/exit points so I am pleased to say that we have never suffered operational delays due to Bulldoor failure.
This is a real credit to your product and a relief for me.

So, do I need anything else currently?  I'm afraid not, I am quite happy with my existing Bulldoors and have no new enquiries for you.  I will of course be in touch if our needs change.

Operations Director

We have 2 Bulldoor High Speed Doors from Union Industries at our Hull plant which were installed in 2007. Over the course of the last 10 years these doors have been fantastic. The doors are performing as well today as the day they were fitted. As a result of these doors we found that the factory has now a more workable temperature to be in, which in turn is a more comfortable environment and conditions for all staff working in the area. There are also cost efficiencies to gain from as we have experienced for quite some time now due to heat retention.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Union Industries High Speed Doors based on how cost effecient, energy saving they are and also how they have improved the working environment within the workplace. I have found the customer service to be excellent every time I have spoken to them.
